Swedish massage may help reduce symptoms of depression, stress, and anxiety. Some of the symptoms that could be managed by massage therapy include back pains, headaches, muscle issues, and other chronic pains. Massages are also associated with boosting immunity. Shiatsu Massage

Shiatsu Massage is a therapy technique practiced with soft and strong pressures on the reflex points of the body. Your therapist mainly exerts pressure with their thumbs and fingers—hence its name shiatsu, which means “finger pressure” in Japanese—but also with their palms, elbows and sometimes feet. Shiatsu targets specific points along the body’s meridians, applying pressure to release tension and restore balance. This targeted approach can effectively address deep-seated muscle knots and chronic stress. Shiatsu’s stretching and joint rotations also contribute to muscle relaxation and increased flexibility.

Cupping

Cupping Therapy

Cupping Therapy is an ancient healing technique. Cupping uses suction to draw blood to or away from specific areas of the body. Cupping is used to relieve conditions that cause pain. It is believed that it also helps with chronic (ongoing) health issues. The therapist places cups on the back, stomach, arms, legs or other parts of the body. A vacuum or suction force inside the cup pulls the skin upward. Cupping may ease symptoms of arthritis, including rheumatoid arthritis, back pain, neck pain, knee pain and shoulder pain, asthma and other breathing issues, carpal tunnel syndrome, gastrointestinal (GI) disorders like irritable bowel disease (IBD), headaches and migraines, and even high blood pressure (hypertension). Cupping therapy is a form of traditional medicine that originated in China and West Asia. This method has been practiced for thousands of years. Other names for cupping therapy include cupping, cup therapy and suction cup therapy.

Massage Gun

Massage Gun Therapy

Massage Gun Therapy utilizes a small handheld device, which operates differently than the old vibrating massage guns. The new wave of massage guns are extremely effective, pulsing in and out, percussing the tissue (and stimulating deeper). These recovery tools are used by the therapist to relieve pain and improve circulation. Some of the physical benefits of using a percussion massage gun include reduced muscle tension, improved circulation, stimulation of the lymphatic system, decreased soreness after workouts, improved sports performance and muscle mass, improved rehabilitation from injuries, pain relief, stimulation of the nervous system, facilitates lactic acid release, increased mobility, flexibility, and pliability, injury prevention, and potentially the breaking up of scar tissue.

Massage guns reduce muscle tension by bombarding the afferent or sensory pathway with a high intensity stimulus. The effect is similar to when one bumps one’s elbow and instinctively rubs it. Percussion massagers essentially bombard the nervous system with high intensity afferent (sensory) stimulus thus causing a reflexive inhibition of the muscle tension.

Feel free to ask the therapist to try a brief massage with the massage gun. Massage gun treatment can be incorporated with any of the other treatments offered or can be used exclusively on their own for a vigorous yet relaxing massage experience
